Project Background

Winner of the 2023 Haunt Comp Outstanding Writing Award, ZOOPS! was a group project created in collaboration with Mike Sturman (project manager), D’Angelo Reyes (show producer), and Brian Gweon (concept artist). I acted as the show writer for the project. In addition to winning the Outstanding Writing Award, ZOOPS! also won the Outstanding Stunt Award.

My goal for this story was for it to be as zany as it was scary. Personally, I love a blend of humor and horror. Basing the story around a deranged zookeeper and setting it in a zoo gave our team a lot of unique material to work with.
